MOKE ME A KIPPER
Mentions
of "Prisoner" vehicles are common in car magazines, and magazines
devoted to vintage television, but eyebrows were raised this week when the
Mini Moke, known to readers of this website as the Village Taxi, appeared
in the UK weekly "lad's mag" "Zoo" (July 29th-August 4th
issue).
In an 8-page automobile pull out, Richard Hammond of BBC motoring show "Top Gear" listed his top 5 "Babe Magnet Machines". The Moke was surprisingly included, along with a VW Transporter, Pagani Zonda, Maybach 62, and a Ducati, with Hammond commenting "All you need to add is a good quality rug. Perfect for a post-picnic quickie". The mind boggles!
