SALLIS ON McGOOHAN

Readers of The Unmutual Website may want to check out the book "Fading Into The Limelight", which is the autobiography of popular actor Peter Sallis.

Probably best known for his appearances as Clegg in the comedy series "Last of the Summer Wine" and voices for the "Wallace and Grommit" animations, Sallis is also a highly respected stage actor, with a career spanning several decades and countless theatre appearances.

In the book, Sallis is very complimentary about Patrick McGoohan and talks about working with him in Sheffield Rep in the 1950s, and in "Moby Dick" (with Orson Welles) and "Brand".

To coincide with the launch of the book, Peter appeared in an "Audience with...." style event at Crosby Civic Hall in Liverpool on Wednesday 29th November where he signed books and took questions.
