PETER GRAHAM SCOTT DIES

It is with much sadness that TUW reports that "Prisoner" and "Danger Man" Director Peter Graham Scott passed away on Sunday 5th August 2007. He was 83.

A true legend of the film and TV industry, his early TV work included over 70 episodes of "The Troubleshooters", before he Directed no less than 7 episodes of "Danger Man". It was this that led him to Direct the "Prisoner" episode "The General", an experience he remembered very fondly. Other series at that time on which he worked included "The Avengers". He later struck up a long-standing association with HTV.

For HTV, he produced classic series such as "Into the Labyrinth" and "Children of the Stones". In 1982 he worked alongside McGoohan again for the TV film "Jamaica Inn", and also worked on series such as "The Onedin Line". In 1999, Peter wrote the book "British Television: An Insider's History".

A compelling and delightful guest at PM2005, Peter will be remembered very fondly by all that met him. A true gentleman. TUW extends its greatest sympathies to Peter's wife Mimi and the rest of his family and many friends.
