UNSEEN PRISONER FOOTAGE FOUND
The
Unmutual Website is proud to announce that PM2007 hosted a very special last
minute event on Sunday 19th August in Portmeirion.
A local man had recently been compiling a DVD of local carnivals from the 1960s using amateur footage with a view to selling and raising money for the local school. One of the reels contained, he thought, behind the scenes filming of The Prisoner. Having learned of PM2007 in the local paper, he attended at the last minute and attendees and organisers alike viewed the footage together in the Hercules Hall for the first time.
What followed was an amazing few minutes of never before seen footage from the filming of Arrival. In great colour quality, we saw Patrick McGoohan patting and stroking Rover on the lawn, setting up sequences, and even Angelo Muscat going for a little jog!
The footage was then viewed for a second time, and an impromptu collection of over £50 made to the local school. The news also again made the local press the following week. With Network DVD in attendance, the footage was passed to them and it is hoped it will be included on the forthcoming DVD boxset.
