R.I.P. GEORGE BAKER

George Baker, who played "The New Number Two" in the episode "Arrival", perhaps best known for his role as Inspector Wexford in the TV series "The Ruth Rendall Mysteries", has sadly died aged 80.

Starring in countless other TV and Film roles, Mr Baker (like Patrick McGoohan) was considered for the role of James Bond. Made an MBE in 2007 for his charity work, the year before he had provided free of charge several signed photos for auction at TUW's PM2006 event (left) which raised a 3-figure sum, and kept in touch regarding the work done by TUW for Ty Gobaith Hospice, regretful that he could not attend the events in person.
