BLU WHO

In the 1976 a BBC film crew arrived in Portmeirion to film the latest story of the popular science fiction series 'Doctor Who', which at that point starred Tom Baker in the lead role of The Doctor.

The story was called 'The Masque of Mandragora', and Portmeirion was doubling for medieval Italy in the episodes.

On Monday 4th May 2020 the story was released on BluRay (left) by BBC Enterprises as part of its 'Season 14 Box Set' (following on from an earlier DVD release HERE).

The set includes all four episodes, plus two special features: a documentary on the making of the episodes, featuring interviews with crew at Portmeirion (see below), and a featurette on the changing locations at Portmeirion.
