IN THE PRISONER: In the episodes "Free for All" (three balloons shepherding Number Six, and Rover travelling across the water), "Arrival" (Rover attacks the Moke), "Dance of the Dead" (Six runs across the beach), and "The Chimes of Big Ben" (Nadia swims, Six and Nadia launch their boat, Rover in pursuit of boat, Karel's POV shot), on what appears to be Portmeirion's beach.
IN REALITY: From 4th to 8th December 1966, a second unit crew headed by Don Chaffey and which included camera operator Robert Monks filmed the above "outstanding shots" at Camber Sands and Folkestone Harbour and Sands . The crew stayed at the Burlington hotel in Folkestone.
