FABULOUS FENELLA
Although not credited at the time, one of the most important aspects of the 'The Prisoner' series is surely the 'Village Voice', providing cheery yet sinister announcements through the Village's public address system.
The voice was provided by actress Fenella Fielding, and TUW is delighted to see that an exhibition of artwork of Fenella (including the wonderful piece, left, by Sal Jones), plus a number of her costumes, wigs, and other items, is now running in London until 18th December 2022.
Organised by the Fenella Fielding Foundation, the exhibition at Gallery 286 (2 minutes from Earls Court tube station) and runs from 9 November to 18 December. More details: HERE.
TUW has also built a special page looking at Fenella's career, and 'Prisoner'-related work HERE.
With thanks to Simon Mckay and Julian Bridger.
