R.I.P. GLENIES
TUW is very sad to learn that long-time fan of 'The Prisoner' Glenies McCairns, AKA Glenys Siefers, passed away today after a long battle with cancer. Glenies will be known and fondly remembered by 'Prisoner' fans from all corners of 'Prisoner' fandom.
A familiar face since the birth of Prisoner fandom in 1977, Glenies was a constant presence at conventions in Portmeirion over the decades - at which she was often found performing in re-enactments, including the last to act with Alexis Kanner - and more recently at the ITC celebration events at Elstree.
With a cheeky smile and rebellious nature, and a thorough knowledge of the series and its star Patrick McGoohan, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her, including those who she befriended online on various Facebook groups for the series (click HERE to leave your comments/memories on TUW's facebook post for her). May she RIP.
