PAUL WELSH 1953-2024
More sad news has reached TUW. Friend of the website and the man who famously saved Elstree Studios from demolition, Paul Welsh MBE, passed away earlier in September at the age of 71.
Paul devoted his life to Elstree and Boreham Wood, spear-heading the 'Save Our Studios' campain which ultimately saved Elstree Studios, and alongside his friend Bob Redman spent decades celebrating and ensuring Elstree's Screen Heritage.
Always a supporter of The Unmutual and its associated events, Paul was special guest at several.
A selfless, witty, kind, knowledgable, and opinionated individual, Paul was a great friend to many and he will be greatly missed. A further tribute can be read HERE. R.I.P.
