NEW STORY COLLECTION

TUW is indebted to Kevin Plunkett for providing details of a very interesting new book, which explores the career of Patrick McGoohan from a variety of perspectives.

"Self Storage - Tales of Identity, Freedon and Sex" is described thus: "A Valentine from an allo husband to his asexual wife with a big assist from 60's British Television. An idyllic village in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, riddled with surveillance, murder, and crime. Cryptic allegories on The Twilight Zone, philosophical sex, mannequin consciousness, and the art of loving people and things we cannot understand."

Intriguing to say the least! Writes Kevin; " The various stories reflect the long shadow cast by The Prisoner on the contemporary world... The final section is a whimsical reflection on themes of freedom and identity featuring writers and thinkers from the last three centuries, including McGoohan of course, with particular emphasis one the existential thriller, Two Living, One Dead , which I consider a minor masterpiece."
