VILLAGE INSPIRATION FOR SALE

Fancy living in the retirement home for spies that was the part-inspiration for The Village in 'The Prisoner'?

Well now you can! Inverlair Lodge (left), located in rural Scotland near Inverness, is up for sale following extensive refurbishment!

The site was owned by the Special Operations Executive for many years, at which British spies were rested and re-trained. In the mid-1960s, its history went across the radar of George Markstein, who used it as part-inspiration when co-writing 'Arrival'. Markstein went on to write the 1973 novel 'The Cooler' (available HERE) about the location. More information on the history of Inverlair and 'The Prisoner' can be read HERE.

It can all be yours for only £1.25m. Click HERE to read more about its sale, and to see lots more photos.
