ESSENTIAL TV DRAMA GUIDE ON SALE
Through their events and publications, Kaleidoscope are regarded as the font of all knowledge regarding the history of TV in the UK, and TV fans are now invited to share in this knowledge with the publishing of "The British Independent Television Drama Guide 1955 to 2005" by Simon Coward, Richard Down and Christopher Perry. The guide is an indispensible five-volume softback set, totalling nearly 2,500 pages, priced at £34 per volume including UK p&p or as a set for £142.50 including UK p&p.
This guide
is the result of many years of research building on the information contained
in Kaleidoscope's original Drama Guide. It contains entries for more than
2,250 different programes produced for independent television, terrestrial,
cable and satellite broadcasters in the UK (BBC productions will be included
in a future guide). It includes transmission dates, episode titles, cast and
main production credits together with archive holdings and, where known, production
and VT numbers.
The first four volumes also each contain a full index listing not only programme
titles, but individual titles for all plays as well as story titles for semi-anthology
series. Between them, these volumes also include more than fifty pages of
photographs. Volume five is reserved for five long-running soap operas which
are covered in great detail.
