PORTMEIRION AWARDED

On Thursday 20th October 2005, The Hotel Portmeirion was honoured at the Welsh National Tourism Awards, picking up the award for "best place to stay" in the hotel category. Managing Director Robin Llywelyn was delighted with the award, stating "This is excellent for the managers and the staff to show that they have succeeded in raising the standards and in offering high quality services."

Pembrokeshire Coast Cottages won the "innovation in marketing" award, and Folly Farm, a working farm also in Pembrokeshire, won the overall award for "best tourist attraction".
