have been several box-sets of "The Prisoner" released on DVD, and
it is universally accepted that the finest of these was Umbrella Entertainment's
35th Anniversary set, released in Australia in 2002.
Featuring all 17 episodes, plus the "Alternative Chimes", the picture quality is better than any other box-set release of the series, plus there are countless exclusive extras, including behind the scenes footage from the 1966 Portmeirion filming, including footage of the original Rover device!

The UK DVD box-set is also reduced at play.com to £17.99 (free UK P&P), but it is arguable that the drop in picture quality is not worth sacrificing for the sake of a few pounds/dollars.
