Thanks to Prisoner fan Kieran McAleer, a relic from MGM Studios where the series was filmed(long since demolished) has been saved from the scrapheap.

For several years, a Sainsbury's depot has stood on the former studio site, which has now been demolished. Also due to disappear forever was the original gate to the studios (left), but thanks to Keiran and a fundraising campaign on the MGM Studios Facebook group, the gate has now been saved and is now located at a secure location in Sussex.
