'Not a Number - A Patrick McGoohan Retrospective'
The Studio Suite, Elstree Studios, Borehamwood

Sunday 21st January 2018 will see the latest exciting event to celebrate Patrick McGoohan and his work.

The iconic Elstree Studios, across the road from the former site of MGM where 'The Prisoner' was filmed, and where McGoohan made several appearances (including his first movie role in 'The Dam Busters') will play host to an event organised by The Unmutual Website and Quoit Media Limited.

The event will include several special guests, on-stage Q&A sessions, screenings (including a 1955 episode of 'The Vise' starring Patrick McGoohan, attractions, an exclusive display of original props, costumes, and memorabilia from The Prisoner and Danger Man and is only £20 per person to attend.

Confirmed guests - Jane Merrow, John Hough, Vera Day, Alex Cox, Alvin Rakoff, Tony Sloman - more to be confirmed.

The event starts at 6.30pm and profits will be donated to Ty Gobaith Children's Hospice in North Wales.

With tickets in very limited number, it is advisable to purchase your tickets as soon as possible, direct from the Quoit Media website HERE, where updates on the event, including guests, will be made, in addition to TUW.

Borehamwood Film and TV locations tour including 'The Prisoner' locations

Writes tour guide Dave Lally: Meeting at 11.00am at Elstree and Borehamwood Station, there will be a 5-mile walking tour (so wear comfortable clothing, tour goes ahead regardless of weather) of film and TV locations, including some from 'The Prisoner'. Tour will end approx 3.00pm.

"Danger Man" Colony 3 episode, locations tour
and picnic

Writes tour guide Dave Lally: Meet nr to Platf 9 at London Kings Cross Main Line Stn at 11:00 for 1st train to Hatfield on/after 11:45 (carry/watch out for a Priz logo). Event proceeds irrespective of the weather. Bring with you (a) any railcards, oysters cards etc (we will try to get a group discount on rail tkts), (b) yr own picnic lunch/drinks, (c) a blanket, (d) a refuse bag etc etc. At Hatfield Rail Stn we catch a local bus to the location scene for Hamden New Town (as in "Colony 3"-the most Prisoneresque ep of D-Man). Picnic nr to the Church/parade of shops-pub also nearby (which we will prob visit: it appears in the background of the episode). Afterwards back to Hatfield Rail Stn to look at another Col 3 location nearby (+ optional visit to nearby Hatfield House Stately Home). All (whether London+S/East or out of town, local or just passing thru) welcome. Bring non-Priz colleagues if you wish."



Seattle will again host, as it did in 2017, an event dedicated to 'The Prisoner' in 2018, with special guests and exclusive content.

'The Eternal Village' is organised by the same team that brought the very successful 'PrisonerCon2017' to fans (review HERE) and will take place at the Broadway Performance Hall in Seattle, WA, on Sunday 9th September 2018.

The event will include special guest interviews and meet-and-greets, screenings, signing sessions, and much more! Guests include 'The Prisoner' actress Annette Andre , academic Valarie Ziegler, and Rick Davy of The Unmutual Website, who will have with him some rare archive materials to show attendees.

The seventh annual music and arts festival takes place in the grounds of Portmeirion, headline acts include 'The The'. Event is strictly by ticket only, please visit Festival Number 6 for details.

MGM Borehamwood Sites Location Tour

Members of the "MGM Borehamwood Memories" Facebook group will meet up in Elstree for their yearly look around the former site of the MGM studios (where The Prisoner was largely filmed).

Whilst the studios and sites have been demolished, it's a fascinating look around what now stands on the "Hollywood of Britain" and again the tour will be headed by MGM expert Kieran McAleer. Meet time is 1.00pm at the Toby Carvery (Travelodge) in Studio Way, Borehamwood.

Prior to this, Dave Lally will be operating a quick additional tour of some locations, meeting at Elstree and Borehamwood station at 11.00am.

This tour is free to attend, no membership to any organisation is required.

"Danger Man" London locations walkabout tour

Meeting at Victoria British Rail Station (outside Burger King near to Platforms 1-7) at 10.45am. Have a Travelcard valid for at least Zones 1 and 2, and the tour visits;
(1) Danger Man opening location site ("every government has its secret service branch...."),
(2) Danger Man - home of John Drake.
(3) Several other locations from the 'Danger Man' episodes 'Fair Exchange' and 'Don't Nail Him Yet'.
5 ) Several other buildings with Prisoner, Portmeirion, and Cult TV connections (such as Simon Templar's home from 'Return of the Saint').
Event is free to attend other than your travelcard. After a stop for lunch it's then on to.......

"The Prisoner" London locations walkabout tour

The 1st of 2017's twice-yearly London locations walking tours. Commences at 2.00pm underneath Marble Arch and continues on foot for approx 3.5 miles taking in over 20 different "Prisoner" locations, culminating in Number Six's London home. Free to attend. Optional visit to nearby Pizza Express then follows at approx 5.30pm. Event goes ahead regardless of weather so come prepared. Any queries, click HERE and send an email. PLEASE NOTE: The Prisoner Mind Mash is a bi-annual event organised by Leslie Glen, independent of The Unmutual Website. Dave Lally's tour events are run by him and not by The Unmutual Website.
None of the above tour events requires any fee to attend unless stated (other than your own pay-as-you-go expenses such as travel or food), nor membership of any group or club.
